First, I drew letters onto a recycled cardboard piece.
Then, I added post-its to cover the letters.
The point of the game was for the letters to be a sort of surprise when they are removed

You can extend this by having them write the matching capitol letter on the post it after they have uncovered it.

To make the puffy letters whip up a batch of super simple puffy paint by mixing together approximately equal parts white glue and shaving cream. Then dropped dollops of the mixture onto a tray and let it dry over night.

The puffy letters with feel wonderful to the touch and will bounce back after they are squished or smashed. You can even take them off the tray.
