Welcome to Mr. Martin's classroom website. In my class you will encounter a rigorous curriculum based on geography, historical primary and secondary sources, and real world examples that relate to the content we are covering. In addition to historical content students will actively learn reading and writing skills, critical analysis, corroboration, communication skills, and other skills based on the Common Core State Standards, 21st Century Learning Skills and Integrated Technology Standards in Education. In this class we will collaborate on a daily basis and learn how to overcome challenges together in order to cultivate a positive, engaged classroom. We will use technology in class to supplement student learning and help students stay organized.
