How do I Print?

Cloud printing is set up on the following printers:

  • A1
  • B13
  • C8
  • E3
  • G2 (Sixth Form only)
  • H17
  • J16
  • J9

When sending to print, in the 'Destination' choose your nearest closest to retrieve your prints from.

When Can I Print?

Printers are only available between 07:30 and 18:00 Mon-Fri.

If you try and print at restricted times, the job is cancelled (and logged via our PaperCut software) and you'll receive a cancellation email to your school account advising that it was out-of-hours.

Can I use additional apps?

We regularly review the apps that are available and have already allowed some to be accessed via the Google Play Store, but as some are deemed not suitable for certain age ranges, we are very conscious that we don't want to encourage misuse in any way.

What about safety and filtering?

Connections are already monitored and additionally filtered, when using the school internet, as part of Keeping Children Safe in Education. The school filtering is to both the CIPA (Children's Internet Protection Act) and IWF (Internet Watch Foundation) standards with all traffic logged.

Most home Internet Service Providers have filtering settings that can be applied on request but sometimes this is to the whole of the household and not just individual devices. That given, we are engaging with a schools partner to enable parents to easily apply filtering and security settings at home without any additional costs and will provide instructions once that is finalised.

Why do I keep getting asked to share my screen?

This is the monitoring software checking screens during the initial use phase and will eventually stop appearing.
