DISTRICT COORDINATOR INFORMATION

RESPONSIBILITIES

District participation is required in order for students from that district to participate in the competition. To be an eligible district, you must submit contact information for a District Tech Competition Coordinator. The responsibilities of the Tech Competition Coordinator are as follows:

• Coordinate an event for your district to determine eligible projects

• Promote the Tech Competition within your district

• Recruit the required number of judges/volunteers for the regional event

• Pass along email communications to the students at the school(s)

• Enter student registrations for all qualifying students from your district

• Engage with local businesses to obtain sponsorship opportunities

VOLUNTEER / JUDGE REQUIREMENTS

Coordinators should recruit judges/volunteers for the regional event. Volunteers are also requested for the state competition. Please use the table below to identify the number of judges suggested to represent your district at the regional event.

• 1 - 4 projects (2 judges)

• 5 - 11 projects (3 judges)

• 12 - 18 projects (4 judges)

• 18 - 24 projects (5 judges)

• 25 - 32 projects (6 judges)

• 33 - 39 projects (7 judges)

• 40 - 47 projects (8 judges)

• 48 - 55 projects (9 judges)

• 55 - 60 projects (10 judges)
