L1B Final Exam Review
Test Format
There will be..
Vocab section (journals 9-14)
Grammar question section,
Two noun adjective charts, (of any declension)
Two verb synopses of ALL tenses (one deponent/irregular),
Responde Latine,
TWO translation sections- ONE (longer) from our story, and ONE (short) sight reading (taken from Bonus Scene).
From various chapters, I have selected specific passages (below) that the students should be able to translate for themselves. These will be one of the translation sections, so they do not need to memorize all chapters.
**Please note that I will NOT be providing additional vocabulary help for the translations.

3rd, 3rd io, 4th Conjugation Verbs
Interrogative Pronoun/Adjective
Dative with Compound Verbs This is probably more info than you need!
Dative Case - Don't worry about 3rd declension!

book chapter Videos
If you do not have a book at home, these videos will read through the chapter out loud. These do not include grammar exercises at the end (Pensum A, B, or C). The bonus scenes are excellent translation practice- however, the videos do not show the text! I would be happy to provide a copy of the text upon request.
Websites for Extra Practice
Quizlet via Class Link
I have created a quizlet (vocabulary flashcard website) page that already has the required vocabulary from the textbook for the entire class listed by chapter. The site offers traditional vocabulary cards, but I strongly recommend students use the Learn function to practice writing, saying, and recognizing words. There is also a fun games section that requires students to use vocabulary to move through different games! (The asteroid falling is my favorite!)
TO USE: Using their own emails, students must join and be accepted into our class to access materials so I can track their progress through the website. It can be accessed via computer OR as an app for a phone, tablet, etc.

Wheelock Extra Practice Exercises
For students who need targeted grammar or translation practice, this is the website I recommend most often! Although it uses Wheelock’s vocabulary (different textbook), it is divided up by chapters (called units). We have covered chapters 1-11 so far this year. Each chapter has a set of vocabulary, grammar, translation and practice test options. This is the most comprehensive review of concepts available!!!
TO USE: This website can be accessed anywhere!

National Latin Exam Practice
This practice test can be catered to any level of Latin and includes fun cultural history questions as well. The National Latin Exam is given in the spring of each year.

Legonium
This website is a fun jumble of Latin grammar and translation. There are some materials geered toward our textbook in the LLPSI section. They are welcome to peruse this website that has lots of great Latin practice and explanations, as well as myths and other translatable stories.
TO USE: This website can be accessed anywhere!
