The DBS motto ‘Always to Greater Things’ reflects the DBS commitment to continuous improvement, practised by the whole community; students, staff and parents.

To help every DBS student develop the knowledge, values and skills required to thrive as great global leaders in the 21st century.

The DBS way is how we realise our mission and describes how we are unique as a school. It is based on five pillars which together ensure that our students develop the knowledge, values and skills to thrive as great global leaders in the 21st century. How we teach is articulated in our High Quality Learning Framework.

1. An Enhanced British Curriculum

• Through the Enhanced British Curriculum, students are encouraged to pursue their individual interests and talents,  extending their learning beyond the classroom. 

• Opportunities are delivered by DBS teachers as well as expert external providers, offering students a wide range of high-quality activities to choose from.

• DBS provides superb facilities that enrich all areas of student life and enable meaningful learning opportunities throughout the year, including after school activities, holiday camps, residential trips and our summer school programme.

• The DBS House system fosters teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging, offering students fun, spirited opportunities to contribute, compete, and grow together as a community.

4. Thai Values in a Global Context 

• We aim to preserve “Thainess”, by placing importance on Thai language, culture, and arts.

• We also value the need to teach our students the importance of international values such as respect, thoughtfulness, consideration, kindness, generosity and mindfulness.

• The focus on global citizenship creates an environment that encourages all students to be moral, understanding and tolerant of others.

5. Wellbeing and Sustainability

• All resources need to be sustainably managed. Our wellbeing programme is designed to give our students the resilience and tools to thrive and replenish their mental resources.

• We apply the same philosophy to our environment, always striving to minimise our impact and develop a better future.
