Taking part in pre-university programmes or summer schools (irrespective of country or university) will not only help enrich your understanding and knowledge of the course you wish to apply for and help you make an informed programme choice when applying to UK universities, but it would also give you an insight into how the course is taught at university. However, please note that merely mentioning that you attended the course at a certain university does not increase your chances of being offered a place at that university.
