BORROWING REGULATIONS
Borrowing Procedures
a. Student must fill in the slip at Centre for Further Studies and Careers (CFC).
b. A maximum of one book may be borrowed for three days at one time.
Renewals
a. Books can be renewed once for another 3 days by returning them to the CFC for record, except those reserved by others.
Reservation
a. Books on loan may be reserved by filling out the slip and submitting the completed slip to the staff at CFC.
Overdue
a. An overdue notice will be sent to the borrower once the loan period expires. Borrowers should return the books to the CFC. If the overdue period exceeds one month, it will be treated as a lost book (refer to 6.b.).
Return Procedures
a. Borrowers should return the books to the CFC.
Fines
a. A fine of HKD 0.50 will be imposed per school day for each overdue book.
b. If a book is lost, the borrower will be asked to buy the same book and it should be returned to the CFC as soon as possible. If the book is out of print, the borrower will be charged the original cost of the book plus 20% for handling charges.
c. Borrowers are responsible for any damage inflicted on the books loaned and will be charged the cost of replacement.
d. Non-payment of a fine will automatically result in suspension of support from CFC as well as your eligibility to attend CFC activities until the fine is paid in full.
