At Secondary lunchtime on Tuesday 16th Sept. the Library awaits you with open doors as we invite you to read together. Without any pressure or judgement come and discover the range of texts we have. We'll have a discussion corner and cozy reading nooks. All you need to do is to come and read a book!
We need your help! Our Library team has found a book with a blurb and a title but nothing else. It seems to have slipped through the cracks of time itself. We need you to help recreate the story or the cover.

Poetry can seem scary but it's certainly easier when the words are already provided! We will be running two competitions on Thursday.
Black out poetry - we give you a page from a book. All you need to do is to cut away words to reveal your poem.
Wandering words - rearrange random words to form your own poetry!
On Thursday 18th Sept. come in your PJs and enjoy bedtime stories. Storytime will be in your child's classroom.

Book Day, Friday 19th Sept., is Book Character Dress-Up Day! Come to school dressed to inspire fellow book readers.
Make a group with 3, 4 or 5 friends and practice performing sections of Julia Donaldson books. Students can collect extracts from their teachers. Each group will perform on Book Day, Friday 19th Sept. at breaktime.

On Book Day, Friday 19th Sept., Primary students join us on the Pitch for a Booknic - a picnic with books!

If you think your costume is fantastic then come to the library for a competition. Show off your costume, read an extract from your chosen book, await your awards! You can gather some friends to recreate whole casts or go it alone.

All week Primary and Secondary students are welcome to come to the library and work out the title of the shredded book in the jar.
