College Resources
The G Suite for Education underpin the teaching and learning at St Paul's College. The core services used are Gmail (including Inbox by Gmail), Calendar, Classroom, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Slides an d sites.
Google sites- Each subject has a designated site that has been created by St Paul's teachers specifically to resource their subject content. Resources are therefore shared across the year group. Sites are not static they are evolving with resources that support the teaching program. Available for pubic view.
Google Classroom is the mission control for classes. Within Classroom individual teachers can distribute assignments, send feedback, work collaboratively and see everything in one place. Google classroom, simply is a collaborative online space that is classroom dedicated.
Clickview Interactive videos enable students to engage deeply both in and out of the classroom. (online and some links are embedded into Google sites). Available for pubic view with student school email login.
Textbooks - Because we have digital resources most subjects do not work from a text book. English novels are mandatory.

Strategies- collaboration, sharing- cross-curricular, integrated, - group work , problem solving- challenging, think-pair share, visible evidence of learning ,agency in learning, risk taking .
At the heart of the teaching strategies is the recognition that the ability to think critically, coupled with superior literacy skills to communicate such thinking, is paramount in equipping students to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Learning is often a sequence of mistakes and successes
Irrespective of what one is trying to achieve, mistakes are bound to happen. This positive insight and positive attitude, of knowing and accepting that mistakes are inevitable, creates a powerful mindset where difficulties will not be seen as threats, but challenges that need to be worked at until success and/or mastery is achieved. Overcoming mistakes requires resilience, mental toughness and repeated practice.
