Nikita is an experienced economist who has worked across multiple domains, with a strong focus on macroeconomics. She is highly skilled in monetary economics, quantitative research and data analysis. She is a strong research professional with a Masters in Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to joining academia as Assistant Professor, she worked as an Associate in the Economic Advisory team at PricewaterhouseCoopers, PwC (an MNC, second largest professional service provider globally).

She has also worked with Prof. Arvind Subramanian, ex-CEA to the Government of India, on empirical macroeconomic development issues. Over her career as a researcher, she has actively worked on macroeconomic modelling using programming languages like Python and software programmes like Matlab, Stata and Eviews.

In order to further gain insights in the arena of international macroeconomic development, she worked as a summer intern in the Monetary and Capital Markets- Global Analysis (MCMGA) division at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C., US. While actively conducting policy oriented research, she has always focused on conveying the most difficult concepts with maximum clarity. With this goal, she has co-founded a blog, Policy Square, that delivers heavy macroeconomic concepts, used in the policy related news, with lucidity. She has also taught several under and post-graduate courses in Macroeconomics, Probability and Statistics.
