Dr. Sonu Kumar Gupta Assistant Professor Department of History
Dr. Sonu Kumar Gupta specializes in the fields of Modern India and Environmental History. He successfully attained his Ph.D. from the Department of History at the University of Delhi. His academic journey includes a B.A. (Honors) degree from Satyawati College and an M.A. in Histo ry from Hindu College.
Moreover, Dr. Gupta's academic pursuits led him to a one-year postgraduate diploma program in Archive and Record Management at the SAS, National Archives of India. He has been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and the National Eligibility Test (NET) by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Dr. Gupta's scholarly contributions extend beyond his educational achievements. He has co-edited a forthcoming book titled "Champaran Satyagraha in the Public Sphere: Newspapers, Periodicals, and Legislature," scheduled for publication by Primus in the current year. His scholarly impact is also evident through numerous articles authored by him, which have been featured in both national and international academic journals.
