Hello friends
I am Kamal Kumar Gupta. I have been teaching at Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, for over three decades. Before joining Deshbandhu College, I completed my Ph.D. in 1990 in Zoology from the Department of Zoology at the University of Delhi. I am a passionate teacher and committed researcher. I teach various disciplines of zoology, including genetics, Biotechnology, Animal Behavior, Reproductive Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, and animal biodiversity.
I established my research laboratory at Deshbandhu College in 1999. My research interests are insect reproductive behaviour and physiology, insect-plant interaction, vector biology, and management. Currently, four research scholars are pursuing their PhD research work under my guidance. Six research scholars have completed their Ph D. under my supervision. To date, I have published 40 research papers in refereed journals of national and international repute and authored a book on environmental science. I have contributed 39 research presentations at international conferences in India and abroad and 8 research papers at national conferences. I have completed six research projects. I have been nominated for the Indo-Italian cultural exchange programme and the Indo-South African educational exchange programme.
I have delivered invited talks at national conferences and symposiums and have been invited as a resource person in many workshops. I have organized national and international conferences. Usually, I accept a variety of academic assignments. I am on the panel of reviewers of many national and international research journals. I have developed many e-contents.
I was the officiating principal and vice principal of Deshbandhu College. I have worked ai several committees of the college and contributed to the corporate life of the college. I was also the secretary staff council, the placement cell coordinator, and the eco-club coordinator of the college.
I help the students in their curricular and extracurricular activities for their holistic development
