Our pre-k classroom is a caring community for children to grow and learn together in a safe space that encourages active participation, cooperative play, and independence. All children will follow a predictable routine, and help create classroom expectations to gain a positive learning experience.

I believe that the classroom is a community to foster independence and autonomy in early learners. With a positive approach to social-emotional and behavioral support, promoting relationships, and modeling responsive strategies, children will have opportunities to practice procedures successfully in the classroom setting. A calm tone with reinforcing, reminding, and responding language and a classroom reward system to reinforce positive behavior shapes my teaching philosophy to meet all student needs.
