Hi! I am Brittany Rievley, ELA Instructional Coach here at Dayton City School. This is my 20th year in education and my 11th here at DCS. Previously at Dayton City, I taught 4th grade ELA and Social Studies, but I have also taught Math and Science and other grades (K, 2, 3 and 5).
I am married to Steve and together we have a son, Bennett who is 14, and a daughter, Ann Marie, who is 9. Ann Marie is in school here at DCS, and Bennett is starting his first year at the high school. We also have two cats, Hope and Bambi. Outside of school, I spend time with my family, read, and (sometimes) craft. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master's Degree in School Leadership.
When I was five years old, and was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said "teacher." Unlike most children, that never wavered. Teaching is all I ever wanted to do. I never thought I would do anything else. However, after 15 years in the classroom, I felt pulled to step out and do something new. I always enjoyed having student teachers, working with teachers regularly, and helping others in this field, so this role was a perfect fit!
My favorite part of being an instructional coach is getting a front-row seat to the amazing learning that is happening in our building!
With my husband Steve. We like to find cool, outdoor places to explore!

This is Hope. She knows how to get REAL comfortable for naps!
This is Bambi. He isn't the smartest, but he makes up for it by being cute!
