Parent Protech
Dawson County Schools is committed to promoting a safe and informed digital environment for all students and families. As part of our ongoing efforts to support digital citizenship and comply with Georgia Senate Bill 351 (SB 351), we are proud to introduce Parent ProTech. Parent ProTech is an award-winning online platform designed to empower parents and guardians with the knowledge and tools they need to help children navigate today’s digital world safely. Through short, age-appropriate video lessons, families learn how to set healthy screen time habits, recognize online risks, and guide responsible device use. Provided by the Georgia Department of Education This program is made available through the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) as part of a statewide initiative to strengthen digital citizenship and online safety awareness among students and families. What SB 351 Means for You In accordance with SB 351, students in grades 6–12 will receive digital citizenship instruction during the school year, and parents will have access to the same content at home through Parent ProTech. This ensures that families and schools work together to foster a safer, smarter digital experience for students.
Introducing Parent ProTech Key Benefits:
Easy-to-understand video lessons for parents and students
Tips on managing social media, gaming, and screen time

Together, we can help our students become responsible digital citizens. We encourage all parents and guardians to explore Parent ProTech and join us in supporting a safer digital future.
