Dual enrollment is a great way to get a head start in college, earning college credit and gaining experience about the college environment and processes while still in high school.
Transportation - DHS is not responsible to pay or provide transportation or parking costs for eligible students.
Interscholastic Activities - An eligible student enrolled in a post-secondary institution under the provisions of PA 160 continues to be eligible to participate in interscholastic activities but cannot participate in intercollegiate athletics.
Course Offering - Students may elect to take college courses during the school day or in the evening. To receive district funding support, classes must be taken during the Davison School District's school year.

Transfer Equivalency - Some colleges do not transfer in credits for DE if the credits have also been used for high school credit. It is the student's responsibility to check with the college of his or her choice to see if this rule applies to the student's college of choice.
HS Credit or No HS Credit - When enrolling in a DE, students/parents elect on their application whether their college credits will also count for high school credit. After this decision has been made and submitted by the student and parent it can not be changed.
College Credit Only - If a student chooses to take a course for college credit only he or she will not earn high school credit for the course.
Completion Time Increased - Dual enrollment into a course is only for one semester.
Student Independence - Are you ready to take a college course? No calls will go to parents from the school when you miss or fall behind.
Permanent College Transcript - You are starting your college transcript. Be sure to stay on track. Failing a course or not doing well has serious implications to college admissions into other post-secondary institutions and for financial aid.
Communication with Parents - College institutions are not required to communicate with the parents of a student.
