Amazing Shake ... What to expect as a judge (Businesses and Local Leaders NEEDED):
The Amazing Shake places an emphasis on teaching our students leadership, discipline, manners, respect, professional conduct, handling unfamiliar situations and creativity.
Round 1 - The Gauntlet (open to all interested students): Judges will be assigned to one of 20 stations. You give the instructions for the scenario to each student and will record their score on their scorecard. Scenarios will range from simple conversations or question to a variety of role-playing situations. Time commitment is about 5 hours.
Round 2 - Circle of Doom: Judges will interview 2 students at a time for 2 minutes and score their interactions with each student. Each group of students will have 6 student rotations.
Round 3/Semi-Finals - Students will visit a local business/community leader
Round 4/Finals - Students will have a business lunch at a local location! The finalists will interact with a local business person and/or community leader. If you're interested in helping, let us know!

Round 1
Just a friendly reminder to save the date for our Amazing Shake event on February 26!
Here are some key details:
Location: North Davie Middle School
Check-in: 7:45 AM
Opening Meeting: 8:00 AM
The Gauntlet begins: 9:00 AM
Event concludes for the morning: 1:00 PMish (could be sooner depending on number of participants)
Dress: Business Attire/Dress as you would want someone to wear to an interview at your business
Please plan on being at North Davie until 1:30 PM. We will send a reminder email for that portion of the event separately.
Round 2

Location: Mebane Education Center
Check-in: 9:00 AM
Quick Meeting: 9:30 AM
Round 2 begins: 10:00 AM
Event concludes: 11:00 AM
Dress: Business Attire/Dress as you would want someone to dress to an interview at your business
Please plan on being at North Davie until 11:30 AM.
