Set up your Canvas Observer account so you can stay updated on your student's daily classwork, assignments, and announcements. 

Step 1: Get a Pairing Code 

First, your student needs to generate a code from their Canvas account:

1. Have your student log into Canvas, click Account in the top-left menu, and select Settings.

2. Click Pair with Observer on the right side of the screen.

3. Copy the 6-digit code that pops up (codes are case-sensitive and expire after 7 days).

Step 2: Create Your Parent Account

1. Visit the Davie County Schools Canvas Parent Portal (or download the Canvas Parent app on your phone).

2. Click "Parent of a Canvas User? Click Here For an Account" in the top-right corner.

3. Enter your name, email, password, and the student pairing code, then click Start Participating.

Bonus Resource: Campus Parent (Infinite Campus) 

While Canvas is great for viewing daily assignments and course materials, we also strongly recommend using the Campus Parent app (Infinite Campus). This portal is your best tool for tracking overall final grades, official report cards, daily attendance records, and school notices.
