What is it?

Honor choir is selected students by audition to perform as a choir from all over the state of North Carolina. It is a huge accomplishment to be chosen for this choir and students are selected based on talent.

When and where is it?

Honors chorus takes place November 5th-7th during the NCMEA conference with the concert being the 7th. Rehearsals take place in The Embassy Suites in downtown Winston Salem and the concert is at the Stevens Center

How does it work?

Each school is only allowed to audition 4 students. The students listed above will get to send their audition to NCMEA. I will work with them in the fall privately to prepare for the actual audition sent to NCMEA. We will record the audition together and I will submit it online. Once I get the results for the auditions the selected students will miss school the 5th and have rehearsal the 6th and 7th. On the 7th students will rehearse then perform at the Stevens Center. Family members are encouraged to watch the performance and will pick up their children afterwards. Parents are responsible for drop off and pick up each day of the event.

How much is it?

If your child is chosen to audition it is $12 to audition to NCMEA

If your child is selected by NCMEA, registration which includes a shirt and music is around $50. I will have a more exact price when the music is selected.
