My name is Ms. Wentling, but you can call me Ms. Abby. I have been working professionally in the Exceptional Children's world for 1 year. Prior to my joining South Davie, I was heavily immersed in the world of Special Education through advocacy, adaptive behavior and life skill development programs for 6 years. I approach learning with the idea that all children should have a say in their education. In doing so, I encourage student's input on what is being learned in the classroom. I believe that by allowing students to incorporate personal aspects of their lives into lessons and set their own educational goals, one welcomes and increases the chance for success. While each student faces unique challenges, it is my mission to provide students with the opportunity to grow. With the help of my two fabulous assistants (Ms. Smith and Ms. Nadia) we welcome students into a family like environment, where all the little and big achievements are celebrated.
