Hello! Welcome to First Grade! I am thrilled that you will be part of our class this year! We are going to travel on new adventures and our brains are going to grow even bigger than last year. In our class, we will make mistakes, rise to challenges, learn to be outstanding citizens and most importantly have fun!

This will be my 14th year of teaching. I worked for five years at Mocksville Elementary School and this will be my ninth year at CZE.  I attended undergraduate (Elementary Education) and graduate school (Reading Education) at Appalachian State University. Go Apps! I was named Teacher of the Year at CZE in 2018. My husband's name is Kris and he is a real estate agent and is a sports fanatic. We have a 6 year old named Sawyer who loves animals, swimming, and reading. We also have a 1 year old daughter named Ellie. We love going to the beach and spending time outdoors. We have two fur babies named Olive and Baxter.
