About Mrs. Cain

Mrs. Cain is a seasoned professional who chose to leave the corporate world in 2007 to teach in public education. This is her third year serving as the Career Development Coordinator at Davidson County High School. She also serves as the CDC to the students at Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy. Prior to joining the staff at Valley Academy six years ago, she taught the business education curriculum at North Davidson High School during the 2017-2018 school year, East Davidson High School from 2015-2017, and E. Lawson Brown Middle School from 2010-2015. She also taught the marketing education curriculum at Southern Guilford High School from 2008-2010. Before entering the education field, she worked for five years as part of the senior management team at Mohawk Industries, formerly Unilin Flooring, in Thomasville.

Mrs. Cain obtained a Master's degree in Teaching-Business Education from North Carolina A&T State University in 2014, a Bachelor's degree in Management & Ethics from John Wesley University in 2002, and an Associates degree in Accounting from Davidson County Community College in 1983. She is also an East Davidson High School alumni.

Outside of school, Mrs. Cain spends her free time with her husband, Mr. Cain who is also a high school teacher. Together they have four adult children, two grandkids, and one spoiled rotten dog, a boxer named Gracie.
