Join us, The Farm at Davidson, and Nutrition on Wednesday, November 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vail Commons to try fresh harvest foods! Enjoy spicy pumpkin hummus, and a fresh seasonally inspired salad. Learn about the nutritional importance behind fall produce, like acorn and butternut squash, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, greens, and much more!

In honor of the hit Netflix show’s final season of Stranger Things, join us at Vail Commons for a creepy evening of upside-down delights! On Wednesday, November 12, from 5 to 9 p.m., taste different entrees inspired by characters of the show! Indulge in Eleven’s waffle bar, Surfer’s Boy Pizza, and Hawkins Lab sweet treats! Quench your thirst with a Scoops Ahoy cherry Pepsi float, too! Don’t be a mouth-breather and miss out on this 80s filled night!

We've partnered with The Office of Education Abroad & Away, Dean Rusk International Studies, Matthews Center for Career Development, and International Student Engagement for our annual IEW KICKOFF LUNCH on Monday, November 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Join us for diverse menus at different stations, with entrées and sides inspired by our own international students. Say hello to our co-partners and learn about other exciting events on campus for the rest of the week from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.! Don’t miss this special event dedicated to our international students!

The best day of the year at Vail Commons has finally arrived! Join us for a mouth-watering feast of Thanksgiving dishes and sides on Wednesday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at our annual Commonsgiving!
Classics, like turkey and gravy, stuffing, glazed carrots and Vail's famous macaroni and cheese are set to be served! We are also including a few new dishes to add a little bit of spice to the event. Don't worry, vegan and gluten-free students! A plant-based and made without gluten menu will be served at specific stations. Indigenous recipes will also be offered to showcase the culture and heritage of Native Americans for this holiday.
Students, faculty, staff, and the public are all invited to this special occasion. Don't miss this delicious, one-time-a-year feast!
Vail Commons will be closed from 10 – 11 a.m. and from 2:30 – 5 p.m., and Wildcat Den will be closed on this day in honor of Commonsgiving.

Vail Commons is known for unforgettable entrees and sides, designed to fit every need. This coming academic year, we’re leveling up and bringing the Davison community a whole new identity to Vail Commons, catered towards allergies and dietary needs. Introducing our Friendly Fork program, creating stations free of the main nine allergens; peanut, tree nut, soy, dairy, egg, fish, shellfish, and sesame! The Friendly Fork stations can be found at Herbs and Spices, Corner Grill, and Power Plant in Vail Commons, making these three show-stopping areas FREE of the main nine allergies. Every wildcat, no matter the dietary restriction, can eat comfortably and enjoy all of what these stations have to offer, without the worry of their allergies or intolerances getting in the way.

Let Much Ado Catering prep all your culinary party needs for THE BIG MEAL! Our Hosting Hub offerings are designed for everyone around the table, and includes dinner, drinks, and dessert! The Hosting Made Easy menu entails a choice of ham or turkey, pan gravy, choice of holiday potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, rolls, dessert choices, and a selection of beverages. Items are all packaged for pick up on Tuesday, November 25 in heat safe containers (with reheating directions) and a seasonal apron for the chef! Add on an extra side, dessert, or drink with our Hosting Additions, too! Enjoy this pre-packed feast, enough for 10 guests, for $280!

Gobble, gobble! Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and it’s time to feast! From Friday, November 21, to Monday, December 1, Dining Services locations will have edited hours. Davis Café will be open with reduced hours from November 21 to November 30, except for Thanksgiving Day, November 27, to provide food for any wildcats on-campus during the break. Operational hours will return for every dining location on Monday, December 1.

You asked for it, we’ve got it! Vail Commons IS open with uninterrupted service weekdays (Monday - Thursday) from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.! These revised operational hours of the location are designed to fit complex schedules, student athletes, faculty and staff, and wildcats around campus. Vail Commons hosts three meal periods (breakfast, lunch, and dinner.) In between these meal periods, the location will still be open, offering continental and lite lunch options. Grab a salad, burger, sandwich, or delicious bowl of yogurt anytime of the day at Vail Commons and never worry you’ll miss a chance to use a swipe!
