PROTOZOA
PROTOZOA
Protists, or protozoa, are single-celled eukaryotes. They are classified in four groups based on how they move: ameba (Sarcodina), which have motility through moving parts of the cell membrane, flagellates (Mastigophora) that move by whip-like extensions, ciliates (Ciliophora), which have small cilia and move similar to flagellates, and Sporozoa, which are non-motile.
