DAVIDSON ON WALL STREET

Davidson College seeks to assist students interested in finance careers by providing professional exposure and networking opportunities with key employers, influencers, and decision-makers at top firms in the investment banking, asset management, and financial services sectors in New York City. The Davidson on Wall Street program enables sophomore students with a demonstrated career interest in these sectors to gain immersive experiential learning and build a pipeline of connections for future employment. This signature program demonstrates the talent, innovation, and commitment of Davidson College students to key employer partners, empowering long-term recruiting partnerships. 


Overview

Beginning in their first year, Davidson students interested in finance careers can attend information sessions, workshops, trainings, and meetings with fellow students and employers to learn more about the financial sector. Opportunities include 20+ employers visiting campus each semester, participating in events such as the fall Employer Info Session Nights and spring Career Scope Business/Tech Career Fair. Additionally, Davidson provides access to multiple Training the Street courses, through both in person workshops and online courses. 

 

The Signature Event: Davidson on Wall Street

During Spring Break of 2024, a group of up to 10 high-potential sophomore students will be invited to participate in a career exploration trek to New York City for a targeted and structured high-impact multi-day externship program under the guidance and supervision of the Matthews Center, in partnership with the Economics department. The Davidson on Wall Street program will empower student participants with the platform to further develop their understanding of the challenges and opportunities in pursuing and attaining a career in top-tier financial institutions and investment banking firms through seminars, meetings and interviews with top executives and key influencers.
