April 13, 2026 (Havre) – In a press release, Hill County Superintendent of School Vicki Proctor says Davey School elementary lead teacher Tami Redinger received notification that she was chosen as a state winner in the Presidential AI Challenge for her creativity in teaching. As a state winner her entry will advance to the regional competition with the finalist projects to be showcased at the White House in June. 

Through an investigative-type project the Davey students used AI to analyze the components of space while learning the limitations and gains of using this tool. As Miss Redinger tells her students: “Think of AI as a baby. Right now, we have to teach it what we want it to know.” She also feels that teaching students to use this tool in an interesting, responsible manner will help demystify this newest technology. Apr 13, 2023  Havre Masonic Lodge Chapter #55 presented a $10,963 check to the Davey School Board of Trustees at the board's April 3 meeting.

The money from this grant was used to purchase Discover SMART technologies from T.E.S.T Enterprises to include two 65" interactive flat panel displays, two Lenovo IdeaPad 5 HD laptops, SMART interactive software, two adjustable wall-stand mechanisms and installation through Munari IT.  Read the full article here.

Oct 05, 2018 Hiram Cammon finished up his replacement of a 30-year-old sign outside Davey School as part of his Eagle Scout project earlier this week, a project with personal connections for him.

Cammon said his initial plan was to place a gazebo on the top of Mount Otis in the Bear Paw Moutains, but "that plan was instantly thrown out the window when I realized all the work loads and money that I would have to put into it."

He thought about redoing the gazebo at Pepin Park. However, he said he felt there was not enough of a personal affiliation there for him. Read the full article here.
