Datto RMM Remote Print provides remote-printing functionality within Datto RMM Web Remote.
Data handled
The extension locally processes:
• PDF documents downloaded through a user-initiated Datto RMM Web Remote file transfer
• Limited Datto RMM Web Remote interface content needed to display and operate the Remote Print control
• Temporary Chrome tab identifiers, download identifiers, timestamps, and matching download metadata needed to coordinate the print workflow
How data is used
This information is used exclusively to retrieve the user-requested remote-print PDF, render it locally, and open Chrome’s print dialog.
Data transmission and sharing
The extension does not transmit PDF contents, browsing information, credentials, or usage analytics to the publisher or third parties. The requested PDF is transferred using the existing Datto RMM Web Remote file-transfer service and is processed locally by Chrome.
Data storage and retention
Temporary workflow identifiers are held in Chrome session storage and are cleared when Chrome restarts, the extension reloads, or the workflow completes. Downloaded PDFs remain in the user’s configured Chrome download location until deleted by the user. The endpoint companion retains only the latest queued print document and replaces the previous document when another document is printed.
Advertising and sale of data
The extension does not contain advertising and does not sell, rent, or use user data for profiling, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.
Security
All extension code is bundled with the extension. The extension does not download or execute remote code.
User control
Users can remove downloaded PDFs through their operating system and remove all extension-held session data by restarting Chrome, disabling the extension, or uninstalling it.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
