Technical onboarding

The information in this space is designed to help new Dryad partners get started with administrative tasks and technical setup.

Access your admin dashboard

Your admin dashboard provides an overview of your researchers’ activities and datasets, and allows you to generate and export reports. To access it:

1. Login to https://datadryad.org using your ORCID account and institutional single sign-on.

2. Email partnerships@datadryad.org with your ORCID iD and the email address you used to log in. Then, we'll upgrade your account to provide admin access.

3. Once logged in, click “Datasets” in the menu at top right of the page.

4. From the drop-down menu, select “Admin dashboard.”

Access the staging site (for testing purposes)

Please use our staging site to practice submitting a dataset, rather than starting a test submission on the live site.

Log in to https://sandbox.datadryad.org/stash

On your first visit, you'll need to create a test ORCID account as we are connected to the ORCID sandbox, not the live site. To create your fake ORCID account: 

1. Go to https://sandbox.datadryad.org/stash and click Login

2. When prompted to sign in via ORCID, click Register now

3. Complete the registration form using a fake email address ending in @mailinator.com (for example, sarah@mailinator.com). Be sure to save the email address and password you use

4. Click Complete registration

5. On the next screen, select Authorize access (to Dryad)

6. When asked to choose a partner, select your institution from the dropdown menu, then click Login to verify to authenticate via Shibboleth

7. Save your credentials so you can use the same test ORCID iD in future sessions

Email partnerships@datadryad.org with your sandbox ORCID iD and email address so we can upgrade your account permissions for admin access.
