Several community members shared several ideas that relate to The Courtyard during a community update event organized by DCO. Some of these ideas are:

As an interim step towards the final The courtyard vision, the team has installed picnic tables with branded umbrellas and repainted benches. Work continues to make aesthetic improvements to the area, relocated stored items offsite and mulch.
Community members architects Br Azhar and Br Hayman visit The Courtyard and meet with Project Manager Br Zahir and Programs Director, Br Ayman to conduct an on-site visioning brainstorming activity.
The Eastern wall of The Courtyard received a facelift this summer.
In a meeting that included all brothers and sisters members of the SGA, AHS administration, Br Safi, Br. Zahir, Br. Ayman and Sis. Sameera in mid March, ideas about the usage of The Courtyard were solicited from the students.
Ideas shared by the SGA include space of Aqabah Martial Arts, youth recreation, prayer overflow, youth lounge, community cafeteria, small community events, staff meetings and student meets.
Br. Zahir shared the technical design requirements and shared estimates for various components of the project with an overall estimate close to $750,000.
The group also pondered on various unique and innovative ideas for safe spaces that allow contemplation and empowerment through the activities above and unique features of The Courtyard vision.
