Sustainable nanomanufacturing for energy harvesting and low power electronics
Sustainable nanomanufacturing for energy harvesting and low power electronics
Emerging technologies such as wearable devices, flexible solar cells, and autonomous vehicles call for re-thinking the design and manufacturing of electronics. While decades of incredible advances in traditional semiconductor technology enabled these dreams of science fiction, their sustainable realization depends on the deep integration of heterogeneous electronic materials and devices that go beyond current paradigms of microelectronics.
The SENSE Lab is launching projects in flexible and printed electronics that seamlessly integrate nanomaterial-based sensors, energy harvesting, and wireless devices to deliver next generation hybrid systems. Research in these areas serves the greater mission of sustainable nanomanufacturing for energy efficient electronics.
