Program Details

Starting in 2023, funding for JSEP supports two unique experiences: 1) a field-based program in Greenland for students from Greenland, the U.S., and Denmark and 2) a data-focused and hands-on remote experience for additional students from the U.S.

JSEP experiences are developed around a unique intergenerational mentor-mentee model that gives high school students access to undergraduate and graduate student near-peer mentors, and opportunities for the student mentors to develop their communication and outreach skills.
