The Halter Lab at Dartmouth College's Thayer School of Engineering, is collaboratively working to develop and advance research in medical imaging and sensing technologies to help clinicians better detect, diagnose, stage, treat, and monitor patients with a variety of pathologies. We are a team of talented and dedicated researchers, bringing together diverse backgrounds and skills to innovate novel solutions to today's biggest clinical challenges. We are committed to improving how medicine is practiced through the tools we provide to clinicians, but more importantly through the enhanced care provided to patients. The mission of the Halter Lab is to develop and advance research in medical imaging devices and systems for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating disease.
We value each member of our lab, knowing that each person contributes uniquely to the team. With that, we see that our best work comes when we feel supported and are allowed to express our perspectives through our work. We ensure there is an environment where everyone feels encouraged to be their most authentic self and comfortable to provide input, accept guidance, and take initiative.
We strive to maintain a culture of inclusion and respect; one that seeks to push beyond current scientific boundaries. It is one of growth and the desire to share gain and share knowledge. It is also one that promotes strong work ethics, personal and lab safety, and pride in the work that is produced.
We are committed to providing improvements to how clinical medicine is practiced to enhance the lives of clinicians, but more important, the lives of patients receiving the care.
