To kick off NPHW, we will gather in the Remsen student lounge to start and work on posters that inform on any public health-related topic of your choice to spread awareness on pressing issues.
All Dartmouth students are eligible to participate in this event.
This aligns with priority areas: The Future of Public Health Starts Here: Strengthening the Public Health Workforce and Health Equity Starts Here: Optimizing Health for All.
This will highlight diverse public health areas and fosters the next generation of public health professionals to spread more awareness and education on topics that are important to public health.
You may work together as groups or individually!
There will be a vote to choose the top posters.
You have all week to submit posters, winners will be announced on Sunday!
Prizes will be given to the winners along with posters printed out and put up around Remsen student lounge!

Tina Flores
Executive Director, Frontline Health Workers Coalition
As Director of the Coalition, Tina leads its strategic vision, engagement, initiatives and growth. She is a veteran of the global health and advocacy fields, with years of experience building and driving coalitions to advance critical issues, including noncommunicable diseases, global health security, universal health coverage, and social determinants of health. Most notably, she established and led the secretariat for the Private Sector Roundtable for Global Health Security, a cross-industry coalition that mobilizes companies to collaborate with multinational organizations and governments around disease preparedness and response.
An expert in policy, strategy development, and external engagement, Tina has been a trusted advisor to C-suite and senior executives in multinational healthcare companies, NGOs, multilateral institutions, government, and academia.
Tina worked as an independent consultant with schools of public health and health companies to design strategies and craft multi-million dollar initiatives to accelerate progress in health. Previously, Tina was vice president, external engagement at Rabin Martin. Tina began her career as an intern at the Global Health Council, working her way to director, strategic communications. Tina received her BA from Carleton College and her MS from Dartmouth.

Join Pan Cooke, renowned Irish social justice cartoonist or “cartoonivist” for a panel on art as a catalyst for social change. The panelists will explore how their work challenges societal norms, amplifies marginalized voices, and sparks meaningful conversations. Through the unique lens of cartooning, they will examine the intersection of art, activism, and justice.

This student initiated trip to the Vermont state capital is in collaboration with the Vermont Public Health Association (VtPHA) and University of Vermont!
