What is the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme?
Per the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), the Diploma Programme (DP) is for students aged 16 - 19, and the goal is to "develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge - students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally, and ethically."
The DP is made up of six subject groups (Language A, Language B, Individuals and Societies, The Sciences, Mathematics, The Arts) and the DP core (Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Action, Service, and the Extended Essay).
The DP for for students in grades 11 and 12; in grades 9 and 10, students develop those skills and knowledge needed to be successful IB students. Those skills can be found in the IB Learner Profile, and the knowledge is acquired in our Pre-IB Programme classes.
