Who Should I Contact for Help?

Your child's teacher should be the first point of contact if help is needed. Teachers can be contacted through Remind, email, Schoology messages (3-12), Seesaw messages (PK-2), or other already established forms of communication.

You can reach the Technology eLearning HelpDesk by calling: 843-398-6200 for further assistance.

eLearning Teacher Office Hours

eLearning Teacher Office Hours will be based on teachers' schedules. This will be shared with parents at the teacher or school level.

DCSD Student Email

Students can access their email through the Gmail app (in self-service) or a web browser. The protocol for username and passwords are the same as Schoology with the addition of @dcsdschools.org to their username (ex. megrice198@dcsdschools.org).

The blue Mail icon will not work for students. They must use the web browser or the app.

Accessing Offline Files on iPad

Documents/files have to be identified as “Available Offline” while students are able to access the internet. You cannot enable offline access to entire folders.

Google Offline Files Tutorial

To Enable Offline Access:

  • Select the document/file

  • Tap the three dots

  • select “Available Offline”

Students will have to enable offline access on the document on their Google Drive as well.

Click here to see a video tutorial. Videos and PDFs can be made accessible offline on iPads only.

PDFs will need to be downloaded to the students’ device and will require internet access to download. Once downloaded the PDFs will be accessible without the internet (PDFs can be edited using Adobe Acrobat Reader - in Self Service).

Make sure to change the settings of your documents to “On-Darlington County School District.” This will allow ITC staff to access the document and help troubleshoot.

View Offline Files

Clicking the three lines at the top left in Google Drive and clicking Offline will show all documents made available offline. Show your students how to access their offline files.
