Ms. N. McConnell, Art Teacher

2019-2020 DMS Teacher of the Year

I taught at Sandhills Middle School for five years in Lexington 4, elementary art in Richland One for one year, and am now starting my fourth year at Darlington Middle School! Each day, I drive from Lexington, SC to DMS because I feel that the students, culture, and support for the art program are worth the commute; although most people would believe that is a bit far to travel each day, I wouldn't trade my opportunity at Darlington Middle for anything!

I have a BS in Visual Art and an MAT in Visual Art, both from Lander University, located in Greenwood, SC where I grew up. Art has always been a passion of mine and I aim to inspire your child to develop a positive, long-lasting appreciation for visual art.

Thank y'all for providing me with such talented, respectful, hard-working students to work with, and I am looking forward to another awesome year here at DMS!
