Nursery and Reception
Our Nursery and Reception classes are vibrant, interesting and exciting environments taught by Miss Williams and Miss Houghland.
There are lots of experiences, both indoors and outdoors too.
Our Reception pupils join the rest of the school for assemblies too, which adds to our friendly, family atmosphere.

Year 1
In year one, our academic curriculum starts to be fully implemented by our Y1 teacher and Assistant Principal, Mrs Hall.
Pupils have lessons on all aspects of the national curriculum and have a book for each subject. These subjects include topics on the local area, plants and animals, famous artists and even rap music!
Children in Year 1 also undergo the Phonics check.
We are very proud of how quickly our pupils transition from Reception into Y1.

Year 5 & Year 6
Our Year 5 teacher is Mr Simpson, and our Year 6 teachers are Mr Barr and our Vice Principal, Mr Foster.
In the upper school years, the excellence and quality instilled in earlier years can be built upon.
Our pupils are taught to take huge pride in their work, to pay close attention to detail and to be able to freely discuss what they have learned.
We hold discussions with pupils after every unit of work to discover more about how we can help them learn.
