About the Library

WELCOME NIGHTHAWKS!

Our library is the heart of our learning community at FFHS. We offer a little bit of everything: a quiet place to study, a comfy chair for down time, an array of seating and tables for individual or collaborative work; board games, craft supplies and a maker space; printing and technical help; and a huge collection of books for learning and pleasure reading. We strive to provide students and teachers with the information, tools and skills to make meaningful connections.

Mrs. Bailey and Miss Ross are in the library from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

I'm Mrs. Bailey, the librarian here at First Flight High School, and I'm super excited to meet all of you this year! After teaching high school English for many years in Virginia and Cape Hatteras, I finally landed my dream job of being a high school librarian, and where better than FFHS? Stop by and say hello, take a tour of our space, browse the collection, and ask questions!

Hi! I'm Miss Ross, the Media Tech Assistant. I've been teaching and helping students in Greene County and Dare County for 5 years. I love working with students and using technology to improve our everyday life.
