Meet Ms. Jenn

Growing up in rural, eastern NC, I dreamt of spending my days reading on the beach. Currently, my dreams have come true! I live in Avon with my husband of 18 years and our two children. My career in education began in middle grades science about 17 years ago, but I decided to take a break to stay home and help raise our kids. When my youngest entered kindergarten years ago, I came back into the schools as the media assistant for both Cape Hatteras Elementary and Cape Hatteras Secondary Schools, however, for the past several years I have been assigned to Cape Hatteras Elementary school full-time. I was excited to gain more experience in the elementary school! This is my third year as the media coordinator for CHES and I am thrilled to be here. During my time in the secondary school library I fell in love with the Young Adult genre, reading most of the new releases as fast as the students were. Some of my hobbies/interests include reading (of course!), spending time on the beach, traveling, and trying to live a healthy life~I’m an essential oil enthusiast. I love learning and growing with the staff and students of Cape Hatteras Elementary School!
