Hello, my name is Deann Kinsey and I have been a school nurse in the Danville School District for 17 years.  Prior to working as a school nurse, I practiced nursing at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York, and Geisinger Medical Center.  Additionally, I taught pediatric Nursing at D'Youville College in Buffalo and Bloomsburg University.

My Education: I completed my undergraduate and graduate Nursing degrees at the University of Pittsburgh in the 1980's and after multiple years of part-time work as a nurse and full-time parenting, I returned to college and completed my School Nurse Certification at Bloomsburg University.  Shortly after finishing my certification I started in my current position.

My Family: My husband, Rob, and I have been married for 37 years. Together, we share a family of three adult daughters, all who graduated from Danville School District, their spouses, and  three granddaughters.  There is also one four-legged family member, Lucy, a beagle/brittany spaniel mix dog.

Hobbies:  I have many activities that I enjoy, but narrowing it down to only a few would include spending time with my family, being outside, especially WALKING with my friends and Lucy, gardening, and reading.  Although not a hobby, but definitely a passion, is promoting the health and well-being of not only the children, but the families and residents of the Danville community.  I feel very lucky that my husband and I chose Danville to be our home 32 years ago.  It was an awesome place to raise our daughters, and is a great place to live.  If through my work I can help to brighten the lives of the children and families of the Danville community, I feel that I am a very, very fortunate person.
