3-5 Challenge

(Talented and Gifted Classroom)

Welcome to the Challenge 3-5 website at Danville Elementary!

My name is Mrs. Langdon and I'll be teaching the Challenge (Gifted and Talented) class this year at Danville Elementary School. I have my Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University. I have a Master's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Ashland University. I am so excited to work with Danville students! This year has gotten off to a fantastic start. The third grade reading class is currently reading Love that Dog and the fourth grade reading class is working on a unit that will allow them to research how inventions have changed the quality of life. In math, the third graders are working on fractions, multiplication, and word problems. The fifth graders are working on decimals in both their regular classroom and in the Challenge classroom. It is going to be a great year!

If you are a parent with a question about Challenge, you may email me at shelley.langdon@danvilleschools.org.

High School Students visit

Students from Mikalyn Huffman's third-year Spanish class visited the Challenge classroom. The high school students read books they had created in both Spanish and English to the third-grade Challenge students.
