Students have an opportunity to use our research databases which provides them with the ability to explore their curiosities and interests. Below find links to these databases that you can use at home, as well as some of our favorite websites relating to books, literacy, and learning!

Kiddle.co  is a safe search engine for children.

Unite for Literacy  is a digital nonfiction book resource for young readers.

DK Find Out is a website that offers educational information and interactive activities for students.

Scholastic Parents  is a website with information and tools about reading, education and family.

National Geographic Kids  is a family friendly website which helps you to explore nature and geography, while learning through fun games and activities. 

Common Sense Media  is a resource for parents to see ratings and reviews for items your children might ask about or take interest in reading or viewing.

Smithsonian Kids  is a website with games and information from the Smithsonian Institute.

Explore.org  is a website of live cameras which watch animals in nature or even in your own backyard.  For instance, The Great Dane Service Dog Project, is located in Ipswich.   There are many cameras watching nesting birds, Polar and Panda bears, and even ocean cams which allow you to watch nature as it is happening live!
