The essential educational qualifications and experience criteria are:

• English and maths GCSE grade A-C or equivalent level 2 qualification

• A  commitment to supporting students who have difficulty in accessing the curriculum

The successful candidate will have:

•  Good  interpersonal skills 

• The ability to establish successful relationships with students and colleagues and agencies

• The ability to set and maintain professional standards

In addition, the successful candidate is likely to provide evidence of: 

• Successful experience working with young people in a work or voluntary capacity

• A background which has involved development of others in terms of their personal, behavioural and social skills and/or learning development

• ICT within the work place
