We are seeking an exceptional Sixth Form Administrator to provide high quality support to the Sixth Form Leadership Team. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors, the successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of our busy and vibrant Sixth Form.
You will need to be highly organised, professional and able to work accurately under pressure in a fast paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Core Purpose
To provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support for the Sixth Form and its Leadership Team, ensuring efficient systems, excellent communication and a positive experience for pupils and parents.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General Administration
Act as the first point of contact for Sixth Form enquiries by phone, email and in person
Provide administrative support to the Sixth Form Leadership Team, including diary management, correspondence and document preparation
Maintain confidentiality at all times and uphold professional standards of communication
Manage Sixth Form email accounts and communication channels
Produce letters, reports and reference request as required.
Attendance and Pupil Support
Monitor pupil attendance and follow up on unexplained absences on a first day basis
Liaise with tutors, parents and the Sixth Form Leadership Team to promote excellent attendance
Prepare monthly attendance reports and letters regarding attendance concerns.
Admissions and Transition
Coordinate the Sixth Form admissions and enrolment process, including applications, offer letters and enrolment on Results Days
Provide admin support for key transition events such as Open Evening, Taster Day and Induction Days
Maintain accurate pupil records, form groups and house allocations
Contribute to the preparation and updates of the Sixth Form Prospectus
Provide administrative support for the UCAS application process, ensuring accurate records and collation of references
Academic and Pastoral Administrative
Support the production of Sixth Form reports, predicted grades and references
Maintain records of pupil destinations
Provide administrative support for Sixth Form events, including Charities Week and school trips
Provide administrative support for the Sixth Form Leadership Team with curriculum management tasks, including maintaining accurate pupil options and timetables records
Finance and Resources
Support the Director of Sixth Form with administering the 16-19 Bursary process using Applicaa+, liaising with the Finance Team on payments
Arrange ID cards, lanyards and other resources for Sixth Form pupils
