● Commitment to the safeguarding of children

● Experience of ICT (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)

● Excellent numeracy, literacy and oracy skills including English and Maths GCSE at grades A* to C

● Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate on all levels

● Ability to work in a secondary school environment as part of a team and build positive relationships

● Behaviour management skills in the classroom environment

● Willingness to undergo relevant training

● Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant

● Knowledge of SEN need types and evidence-based interventions

● Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

● Experience of ARBOR

● Knowledge of school procedures
