Pay range: H5, SCP09 - £25,119 + £988 fringe allowance, per annum
Work pattern: Full-time - 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Our secondary school The John Warner School is looking for an ICT Technician; A committed and passionate technology enthusiast, somebody with a desire to learn, a willingness to listen, challenge ideas and suggest alternatives, to help support this developing area.

What you’ll do
Support web-based software applications, collaboration tools and mail systems.
Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults on end user devices
Support printers & scanners, audio visual solutions, phone solutions and peripherals
Credential management for users across all platforms including the school MIS.
Software installation, updates and support
Anti-virus installation and updates
Assisting end users with wireless setup, monitoring of wireless devices and installation of new access points
Support for cashless catering solutions.
Escalate and liaise with Herts for Learning to resolve ICT issues
Asset management, replacing and relocating ICT equipment
Monitoring and proactive management where possible of web-based filtering, Internal networking, broadband usage and server infrastructure
Provide support to users accessing the site remotely to ensure they can continue to work effectively
Be mindful of relevant developments in order to best suggest improvements to the provision and support of ICT
Create, maintain and distribute documentation to assist staff, students and others in the IT team
Monitor ICT consumables to keep up with the demand for peripherals and toners
Deliver informal and formal staff training when appropriate.
The role also includes providing ICT support for local Danes Educational Trust schools; Roselands Primary School and Cranbourne Primary School.
Assist the network administrator in:
Management of devices through group policy
Backup and restoration of school data, ensuring sensitivity and security at all times
Ensure staff abide by school ICT and GDPR policies
Performing pre-arranged tasks outlined in his/her absence.
Managing your current workload.
