My husband and I stayed at Chateau Dane for their annual Wine and Cheese Surprise event in late August. We spent the night and we must say that everything was excellent. The Dane Estate is located in the hamlet of Nanuet, which is close to many shops, restaurants, bars and just a quick train ride away from NYC. My husband had an amazing time at the Wine and Cheese Surprise, tasting some exquisite cheese, cured meats with perfectly paired glasses of wine. Overall I highly recommend that you check out DaneNY for their next Wine and Cheese Surprise event!

d’Weisen with The Danes: An Oktoberfest Destination in Rockland County NY

There cannot be a more tranquil location for the Bavarian celebration of the coming of the harvest than that as hosted by der Dane Familie of Nanuet. With their home situated on a tranquil plane reminiscent Ilsenburg of the Ilsetal valley, their warm and hospitable service, and ample offering of festbier and apflewein it takes not longer than a few moments to transport yourself to Munich. Indeed, Brunnhilde herself would approve of the festive celebration offered by DaneNY. My wife and I cannot foresee celebrating OktoBACKYARDFest anywhere else in the northeastern U.S. Do yourself a favor, and find a way to get on their invite list or you will not be able to indulge in the celebration of a lifetime. Prost!
