Mission Statement:

The Danbury Public Schools Readiness Program provides a comprehensive child development program that fosters social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. With parents as partners we strive to empower children and families to ensure school success.

We offer a full-time, full-year preschool program for three- and four-year olds which operates from 7a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appropriate learning experiences are offered that are sensitive to the stages of development of each child and are based upon each child’s needs and interests. Learning centers are provided and children participate in field trips. Parents participate in monthly special events and/or workshops as well as a Parent Advisory Board that guides and provides feedback to the preschool staff.

All programs are state-licensed and NAEYC-accredited. Staff are credentialed, multilingual and/or multicultural.
