The 8th grade art program is a student's last opportunity to experience art in middle school. The 8th graders will experience art on a 45 day rotation.
The art program is designed for students to create works of art in 2 and 3 dimensions. Experiences offered may include drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, paper mache', sculpture, weaving.
Student work is displayed throughout the school and during the annual district wide art show at the end of the school year.
Art is an elective in grades 9-12 -DHS electives include: film production, painting, sculpture, cartooning, ceramics, animation, computer digital arts, gaming graphics, drawing, web design, photography and fashion photography.
